"Leaving El Ferrol."
This was our first visit to El Ferrol and were not overly impressed with the town itself; the Naval Museum was worth a visit. Entry to the part that covered naval construction and associated equipment incurred a small fee of 1 euro.
The second part that dealt with the midivtary side of Naval History was free. The construction part was essentially scale models of ships from Spanish naval history with an assortment of pieces of real naval equipment. This included models of ancient ships, navigation equipment, flags of ships, weapons, diving suits, sails and utensils used by the sailors on board the ships, maps as well as information of all ships built in Ferrol from 1751 to 1984.
Interesting if you like museums but not the most exciting day we have ever had and wouldn't put myself out to go there again.
